The Opals are Stones of Power held by five of the most accomplished and worthy duellers of the Outback. Each stone is different in color and holds within it unique powers.

The Black Opal, also called ShadowWeaver, holds powers over the mind or spirit. Able to cast its protective shadow, it can hide its wielder from the sight of others or create shadows to misdirect and confuse.

The Blue Opal, also called IceDancer, holds powers over water. Its wielder need never fear being without water, as the stone can call forth water (in small quantities) and is also known to be able to protectively armor the bearer in ice.

The Red Opal, also called FireStar, holds powers over fire. The stone can be used to bring forth fire, and even enshroud its wielder in a sheath of flame that can be most hazardous to enemies.

The Green Opal, also called PathFinder, holds powers over earth. The known powers of this stone enable the wielder to animate small plants, and to pass unhindered through brush and forest.

The Yellow Opal, also called MoonBeryl, holds powers over air. Its wielder can make use of the stone's known powers to levitate small items, and to make things of great mass move as if they were naught but feathers.
