Jake's adventure with the Opals takes place starting in the winter of last year. Jake was summoned away from his cabin in the dead of winter by the sorceress Morgan le Fay. Together they were whisked away by the mists and delivered far to the north of the human kingdoms to a land where the orcs and their kindred hold domain. There, in these lands inhabited by orcs and trolls, Jake and Morgan find themselves on the outskirts of place where even the orcs do not go. A place called Gothmordra, or "Land of Death."Upon the completion of this story, Jake returned to Rhydin and spent time recovering from the trip and working on setting up Red Orc Brewery until he was in condition to duel once more.

re: Chapter 12 - Ok, I admit I am not entirely happy with this chapter. I like the scene with the dwarves, and how they dealt with their fallen, but the creative flow just didn't extend when I was writing the scene for the elves. I will probably come back and revise when I come up with a good idea.
